Rachel receives the Invacare Zephyr power wheelchair!7th January 2008
Invacare sponsored Rachel's inspiring project by lending the 24 year-old woman an Invacare Zephyr power chair, which helped Rachel cover the ambitious 850 km journey in just 17 days. Rachel stated that she was delighted with her Invacare Zephyr, which proved a perfect companion for the challenging expedition. Rachel was so pleased with her Zephyr that Invacare decided to reward the ambitious young woman with the wheelchair as a permanent travelling 'companion'. Rachel's family, friends, Invacare International and the association that supported her met on November 28th at the Foyer Handicap in La-Chaux-de-Fonds to present Rachel with her Invacare Zephyr. Everyone involved kept the gift a secret and Rachel was full of surprise as the huge cardboard box opened to reveal the Zephyr power chair. All those at Invacare are proud to have been part of Rachel's amazing journey. Happy New Year Rachel!
