With temperatures reaching almost 30°C on Saturday 9th August, the world’s élite handbikers psyched themselves up for the European Handbike Circuit battle ahead.  The 5,3km long race at Lobbach, Germany, drew an impressive 102 competitors from 12 nations.

The tough circuit took no prisoners and participants faced inclines of up to 7% in the strong heat of the sun.  Hailed as one of the most demanding challenges in the European Handbike Circuit, this race was a pleasure to witness and to be part of.

Invacare was delighted to be title partner in the event and had a large booth in pride of place.  The Invacare team supported the athletes enthusiastically and presented a range of Top End sports products and küschall active products to spectators and visitors alike.  The athletes themselves were presented with an Invacare^® goodie bag that contained a letter from Invacare Germany, a pencil and a küschall® key ring as well as a Top End^® drinking bottle.

 The whole team at Invacare would like to extend a hearty “Congratulations!” to the winners of the race as well as a sincere “Well Done!” to all of the participants.  We would also like to extend our thanks to the local organisers and volunteers alike who worked hard to make the race the huge success it was.
